Privacy Policy
Effective date: February 10, 2026
Cerebro ("the App") is operated by Allonsy GmbH. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
What We Collect
When you use Cerebro, we collect a minimal amount of technical data necessary to operate the service:
- Device ID — A randomly generated UUID assigned to your device. This is not linked to your Apple ID or any personal identifier.
- Request timestamps — The date and time of each transcription request.
- Request count — The number of transcription requests made by your device.
- Device metadata — Device model and iOS version, used for debugging and compatibility purposes.
What We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, or have access to any of the following:
- Transcription text or results
- Voice recordings or audio files
- Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- Location data
- Contacts or address book data
- Keystrokes or typed text
Audio Processing
When you use the voice-to-text feature, your audio is processed as follows:
- Audio is recorded on your device and sent to our server.
- Our server forwards the audio to the OpenAI Whisper API for transcription.
- The transcription result is returned to your device.
- The audio is immediately discarded after processing. We do not store audio files on our servers.
Important note regarding sensitive data: Please be mindful about what you dictate. While we discard audio immediately after transcription, the audio is processed by OpenAI's Whisper API. We do not control how OpenAI handles data processed through their API. We recommend reviewing OpenAI's Privacy Policy for details on their data handling practices.
Third-Party Services
Cerebro uses the following third-party service:
- OpenAI — We use the OpenAI Whisper API to transcribe audio into text. Audio data is sent to OpenAI's servers for processing. Please refer to OpenAI's privacy policy for information on how they handle data.
Data Storage
We store only request logs (device ID, timestamps, request counts, device metadata) on our servers. These logs are used to operate the service and enforce usage limits.
Transcription results are stored locally on your device only. They are never sent to or stored on our servers.
Keyboard Extension
Cerebro installs as a custom keyboard on your device. The keyboard requests Full Access permission in order to use the microphone for voice transcription.
Despite having Full Access, the keyboard does not log, record, or transmit any keystrokes. Full Access is required solely for microphone access to enable voice-to-text functionality.
Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
- Right of access — You can request a copy of the data we hold about your device.
- Right to deletion — You can request that we delete all data associated with your device ID.
- Right to data portability — You can request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object — You can object to the processing of your data at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@allonsygmbh.com.
